East Coast - Giant Bluefin continue to be taken by rod & reel to 600 lbs on and around Stellwagen Bank. Live bait on the kite married to a 130 reel is the ticket. West Coast - Bluefin tuna in Mexican waters have been difficult to bite. With continuing pressure from Mexican purse seiners the fish seem to be always on the run. Persistent anglers have been rewarded using fly-lined dines or occasional iron. Let's hope with continual high pressure and sea surface temps in the 70's pelagics soon to follow. Tight Lines!
