300 Mile Range – 2011 Yanmar DieselNew ElectronicsTrailer – Bow Thruster

“Ono” has always been a west coast boat, she underwent an engine and transmission repower in 2011 where a Yanmar 6BY-260 was installed along with a ZF 638a transmission. This engine package creates a 300 mile range giving the option to fish far down south or out west at the Tanner or Cortez Banks. With a top speed of 30 knots, and a cruise in the low to mid 20’s, you’ll be able to cover water quickly and efficiently. The two 50 gallon aluminum fuel tanks were replaced in 2011 along with the engine and transmission. Simrad electronics including NSS Evo 2 and 3 systems, autopilot, radar, and radio were recently added, along with fly by wire controls and NMEA system. All electronics "talk" to each other and pull information from the engine.

She is multifaceted— set up to fish any species in the Southern California bight. A large bait tank gives the option to fish yellowfin, yellowtail and dorado effectively, while ample deck space easily allows for casting or flying the kite for large bluefin.

The Stamas Tarpon 250 thrives in So Cal and rivals other diesel center consoles such as Pursuit’s, Albin’s and Albemarle’s. A full head, with holding tank, and shade for the entire bow creates an atmosphere every member of the family will enjoy.   The owner has spared no expense when it comes to maintenance and care. All components and systems are properly working on “Ono" and she is ready to fish the bay or head offshore today.
